In Penang, Malaysia, and around the world, the onset of the COVID-19 crisis brought about unprecedented disruptions to daily life.
Commencing 18 March 2020, a nationwide movement control order (MCO) was instituted, imposing restrictions on movement, halting international travel, and mandating the closure of businesses and schools, all aimed at containing the spread of the SARS-CoV-2 virus.
As people found themselves abruptly confined to their homes, stripped of work and daily wages, the stark reality of being unable to provide for themselves or their families unfolded. What ensued was a rapid descent into desperation for many.

Amidst the backdrop of the COVID-19 crisis, Caremongering Penang emerged as a beacon of hope, with a clear vision and mission: to bridge the gap between those in need (#NeedHelp) and those ready to offer assistance (#CanHelp). Our rallying cry, #NoOneLeftHungry, symbolizes the tireless dedication of our volunteers who provided food aid to over 50,000 individuals in need. As a volunteer-driven, community-centric platform, we facilitated collaboration among various groups, NGOs, government agencies, and individuals, fostering a spirit of unity, love and compassion.

Empowering communities through access to healthcare, we collaborate with NGOs to coordinate medical and dental services. We deliver critical humanitarian aid, including food assistance. We advocate for the needs of our communities with government bodies.
